(FORT WAYNE, IN) - Ross Medical Education Center, a privately-owned, proprietary school based in St. Clair, Michigan has expanded into Indiana. The school’s first Indiana location is expected to open for enrollment in mid-October at Glenbrook Commons, 4122 Lima Road, in Fort Wayne. The Fort Wayne campus marks the 13th location for Ross, which has campuses in Michigan and Ohio. The school focuses exclusively on short-term intensive career education programs that prepare students for careers in allied health services. Programs of study include medical assistant, dental assistant, and medical insurance billing and office administration. Each student is required to complete an externship in order to graduate. July, 2008 Ross Medical Education is proud to announce the opening of the new Sylvania Campus. With the addition of this new location residents of the greater Toledo area will now be able to benefit from the high standards of academics that have defined Ross for more than 35 years. The new campus, which opened on March 17, 2008 at 5834 Monroe Street in Sylvania Ohio, joins thirteen other locations across Michigan and Ohio in providing a strong and detailed background in medical support careers to its students.
June, 2008 Ross Medical Education is proud to announce the addition of a dental assisting program at the Flint campus. This program offering was specifically added in response to the increased demand for Dental Assistants. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for Dental Assistants will increase by 29% in the next ten years.
Ross Medical Education Center, has expanded to Cincinnati and acquired the Institute for Medical & Dental Technology (IMDT)..
